Summer 2001 Paid Internship - for High School Students, Application (.pdf)

Looking for an interesting summer job? Once again the Information Access Laboratory will be providing
paid summer internships for motivated high school students with disabilities (physical, sensory, or
learning). Students have the opportunity to obtain an internship that will provide them with real world
work experiences in the science, engineering, and technology related fields. High School students from
any part of Delaware and the surrounding tri-state area are encouraged to apply. Special priority is
given to students enrolled in or who apply to our science community online.

There are two deadlines for which we will accept applications and base our decisions. We urge you to
submit your application for the earlier deadline, and reserve the right to grant internships at any time
after the first cutoff date.

a few summer internships for motivated university students with disabilities (physical, sensory, or
learning). Internship positions are full-time paid positions; part-time positions may also be considered.
Positions will be available in areas of our research and development work, and our educational outreach
programs. Internships may include interdisciplinary work so all majors will be considered. Special
consideration will be given to students interested in the fields of science, engineering, and math.

Science and Technology Column
Scientopia has a new component to its forum - a Science and Technology column! Through a collaborative effort between programs, the column will also be featured on a new all youth run ezine, Disability Central. We are delighted to introduce our columnist, Jamison Torok. Jamison will be reporting, inquiring, and challenging members with his writings. Articles are based on areas of interest related to the monthly topic and or discussions on the listserve.
